Description:
A closing-the-year ceremony by the ocean — a space to root into reverence, breathe through what the year held, and remember that even the hardest ground can grow grace. Inspired by the magical published author Rachel Morosky of of The Gratitude Journal for Kids. Get one at our gathering.

The end of a year brings its own season — a season of taking stock, of letting go, of honoring what was tender, what was triumphant, and what quietly shaped us beneath the surface. Sometimes reflection feels grounding. Other times it feels heavy, rushed, or unclear. This ceremony is for all of it.

Together, we’ll use breathwork and meditation to root into the earth, into yourself, into this exact moment between “what has been” and “what comes next.” You’ll be guided to check in with the season your body is in, what it’s ready to release, and what it’s ready to grow as you step into a new year.

This isn’t just about gratitude — though gratitude may appear naturally, softly. It’s about reverence. About honoring the roots you grew this year, even in places that felt cracked or uncertain. It’s about looking honestly at the ground you’ve walked, acknowledging where you’ve hardened, where you’ve bloomed, and where grace has been quietly taking shape.

We’ll gather on the sand, breathe together, and create an end-of-year ritual to ground, release, and renew. To let the body remember its roots. To feel into what’s been hidden or held too tightly. To soften into presence. Because even the hardest ground can grow new grace.

Through guided breathwork and meditation, you’ll:

• Settle your nervous system into safety so you can gently meet what the year stirred in you.
• Move stagnant energy held in your body and heart, making room for what the new year is calling in.
• Step into reverence — for your story, your growth, your breath, and the path this year carved for you.
• Reconnect to gratitude not as a task, but as a natural companion to reflection when we feel rooted and open.

Come as you are and leave with a gift from the magical published author Rachel Morosky: The Gratitude Journal for Kids. Even if you don’t have kids, keep it for a future one in your life, or give it away to a friends child and help spread the gratitude and love.

What to bring:

- a notebook to write in and a pen

- yourself, and your open mind

- a yoga mat if you have one (this helps with sand if it’s wet from morning dew or winter storms)

- TWO blankets (one to lay on and one for over you)

- Dress comfortably (there is minimal shade at the beach so dress accordingly)

Notes ::

7th street Manhattan Beach, walk down to the sand, there will be a little hut on the sand to your right, (the public restrooms) and you will find us there.

parking can be tricky down at the beach, the meters are old and only take coins, so plan accordingly, or you can park a little higher in residential streets. My tip is always 1st street and Highland or Manhattan Ave, and walking over.

*All Beach Breathwork circle’s are subject to weather. No refunds or cancellations. We will move this container to the online space in case of weather.

What you agree to by signing up:

- signing a Patient Consent Form prior to the workshop as passed out by Jenna Reiss from Jenna Reiss LLC.

What is Breathwork ::

Breathwork is a 2-step active breathing technique that moves stagnant energy in the body. This practice can leave you feeling open and more ready to step into life as your authentic, natural self. If you’re interested in learning more, I’ve written an article about Breathwork here:
