Workshop Description :: Beach Breathwork Roots of Reverence: A space to root into reverence — to breathe through what hurts and remember that even the hardest ground can grow grace. Workshop inspired by the magical published author Rachel Morosky of The Gratitude Journal for Kids. Get one at our gathering.
Description:
There are seasons when gratitude doesn’t come easily—when the weight you carry feels too heavy, or when the world outside mirrors the ache inside, or when giving thanks feels difficult, or even easy on the small things but difficult on the big things. This workshop is for those moments. For supporting you with breath and meditation to root into the earth, into yourself, into this moment, to check-in with yourself on the season your body is in, what you need, and discover the right way for you to grow upward and outward.
This is about gratitude, yes, but it’s also about being willing to go deeper than gratitude and be willing to look at where it’s time to grow roots, where it’s time to grow grace. We’ll gather on the sand, breathe together, and anchor ourselves in something deeper: reverence. Not just for the easy and beautiful, but for the ground beneath our feet—worn, cracked, and still holding us. We will invite the body to remember its roots, to feel into what’s been hidden or hardened, and to soften into presence. Because even the hardest ground can grow grace.
Through guided breathwork and meditation, you’ll:
Return your nervous system to calm so you can feel safe to feel what’s been rising (especially as we step into the holidays)
Move stagnant energy held in your body and heart, allowing what wants to be released to find its voice.
Open into reverence: for your story, for your breath, for the way life keeps showing up in imperfection.
Reconnect to gratitude—not as a forced checklist, but as a deep, embodied remembering of enoughness, even in and especially through the hard seasons.
Come as you are: and leave with a gift from the magical published author Rachel Morosky The Gratitude Journal for Kids. Even if you don’t have kids, keep it for a future one in your life, or give it away to a friends child and help spread the gratitude and love.
What to bring:
- a notebook to write in and a pen
- yourself, and your open mind
- a yoga mat if you have one (this helps with sand if it’s wet from morning dew or winter storms)
- TWO blankets (one to lay on and one for over you)
- Dress comfortably (there is minimal shade at the beach so dress accordingly)
Notes ::
7th street Manhattan Beach, walk down to the sand, there will be a little hut on the sand to your right, (the public restrooms) and you will find us there.
parking can be tricky down at the beach, the meters are old and only take coins, so plan accordingly, or you can park a little higher in residential streets. My tip is always 1st street and Highland or Manhattan Ave, and walking over.
*All Beach Breathwork circle’s are subject to weather. No refunds or cancellations. We will move this container to the online space in case of weather.
What you agree to by signing up:
- signing a Patient Consent Form prior to the workshop as passed out by Jenna Reiss from Jenna Reiss LLC.
What is Breathwork ::
Breathwork is a 2-step active breathing technique that moves stagnant energy in the body. This practice can leave you feeling open and more ready to step into life as your authentic, natural self. If you’re interested in learning more, I’ve written an article about Breathwork here:
